Preparing For Your Economic Stimulus Payment

As a locally owned bank we are proud to serve our clients with updated economic stimulus information throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

On March 12, 2021, the President of the United States signed the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 into law. Included within the $1.9 trillion legislative package is additional pandemic relief for Americans in the form of a $1,400 Economic Impact Payment (EIP) for direct assistance.

These stimulus payments are expected to begin to be delivered to Americans beginning the week of March 15, 2021, and will continue to be delivered by mail (paper check or EIP debit card) or deposited directly into their bank accounts in the following weeks.

Depending on certain met requirements, you may be eligible to receive this upcoming stimulus check. As this is the third round of stimulus payments to be issued since the beginning of the pandemic, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has began to collect more bank account information of Americans, who may receive a direct deposit payment in lieu of paper check payments some may have received in previous rounds of economic stimulus.

To view your current stimulus payment status visit the IRS “Get My Payment” website, or view your Community First Bank account through our online banking portal, to see if you have received your stimulus payment.
